What Would You Do?: Preventing Hate Crimes & Bias Intimidation

Learn bystander intervention techniques to prevent hate crimes and bias intimidation. Program by La Conexion Immigrant Solidarity Committee.

The program is an outcome of La Conexion’s Community Conversations following the racial hate crime at the Waffle House in March, 2019. The community expressed the need to learn about effective bystander intervention techniques to prevent incidents in the future. The program will include information on hate crimes and bias intimidation behaviors presented by BG Police Division and BGSU.. Participants will be empowered to use effective bystander intervention strategies which will be presented through the use of “What Would You Do?” scenarios.
