German-American Day

Listen to presentations by Dr. Geoff Howes and Education Coordinator Michael McMaster about the German-American experience during World War I in Northwest Ohio.

The public is invited to participate in the 16th annual German-American "Story Slam” event. Participants will be allowed 5 minutes to tell their own family's stories about German-American religious customs and German-American religion.

Discussion led by Dr. Geoff Howes (BGSU, retired) and Michael McMaster (Wood Co. Historical Museum Education Coordinator).

Following the story-slam, enjoy German food and fellowship or take a self-guided tour of the exhibit, For Comfort and Convenience: Public Charity in Ohio by Way of the Poor Farm.

$5 suggested donation, WCHS Members FREE.
