11th Annual MLK Day of Service "Can"vas 2019

A two-day food drive to support local pantries in Honor of Martin Luther King Jr.

Join us for our 11th Annual MLK Jr. Day of Service. For this year’s event, BGSU is partnering with the Brown Bag Food Project to support their 11th Annual MLK Jr. Day of Service “Can”vas Food Drive taking place the weekend before MLK Jr. Day. Over 150 volunteers are needed January 19th and January 20th to go door to door in Bowling Green to collect food donations from local residents. There will also be shifts available to assist with sorting and loading the collected donations.

We encourage students, faculty, staff, and community members to volunteer for this weekend of service to get know your neighbors and community while contributing to a vital community need. All collected donations will be distributed amongst participating food pantries in Bowling Green and Wood County.

For more information about how to sign up to volunteer or how to donate please visit the event webpage at www.bgsu.edu/mlkday
