Youth ages 11 and older are encouraged to sign up to be a Volunteen at Wood County District Public Library for the Summer Reading Program "Oceans of Possibility." Volunteens assist the library in a variety of ways including registering readers, helping at programs, and organizing materials. Schedules are very flexible and the work is fun.
The Children's Place is offering a Volunteen Training on Friday, May 20 from 4:00-5:30 pm and Saturday, May 21 from 1:00-2:30 pm. If Volunteens are unable to attend either training, Volunteens will be contacted to schedule another training. Volunteens only need to attend one training date.
Interested students should apply ahead of the training dates if possible by visiting www.wcdpl.org/teens-can-volunteen-wcdpl and filling out the Google form.
